Overview
This was another successful project with our repeat client Ad Meloria. They entrusted us with a unique multi-family project in downtown Winchester MA. The structural components incorporated a secant retaining wall with a concrete cap as well as concrete podium construction, with reinforced columns and a 14” thick post tension slab. We worked hand in hand with the structural engineer, Veitas and Veitas, to make sure the bend tolerances and spacing of the post tension strands were upheld. This required numerous on-site meetings with our staff and trade partners to ensure all penetrations and embeds were coordinated with our post tension layout. This effort paid off when the final tensioning was completed without a hiccup.
With every project, we design a safety plan ahead of time to fit the needs of the job at hand. Before beginning this job for Ad Meloria, our team members who would be involved in this project met to decide what safety restrictions and materials were going to be part of 36 Elmwood Ave.
We loved this project because our project managers were able to work alongside the structural engineers to design the layout of the job for the best possible outcome. This high-profile job landed efficiently and right on time thanks to great teamwork and clear communication.
